Shipments and Returns
All prices are shown in GB Pounds Sterling inclusive of UK VAT at the current rate. Orders dispatched to addresses outside the EU are free from UK VAT.
Your order is confirmed when you receive an automated order confirmation. This signals that your order has passed through the payment gateway successfully and is in our system.
When purchasing large quantities of goods please email or phone a member of the sales team for advice and help. We can often arrange more economic methods of shipping larger quantities of goods.
Dispatch of Goods
The website will calculate delivery costs for online orders. We aim to dispatch orders within 5 working days. We endeavour to keep you fully informed on the progress of your order. If a product is out of stock a member of the sales team will be in touch as soon as possible to arrange a refund or to offer an alternative where possible.
On receipt of goods, if the parcel is damaged then please sign for the goods as damaged before opening. If there is damage we request that you keep all packaging and photograph the box showing the damage as it appears from the outside. This will help with any claim placed with the courier company. All claims for damaged or faulty goods must be reported to us in writing within 7 days of receipt.

UPS - Trackable and insured courier service for orders in the UK and worldwide. Delivery time for European orders is 3-7 working days from date of dispatch. UK mainland next working day from date of dispatch, Highlands and Islands 2 -3 working days, worldwide orders take from 4-10 working days.
TNT - Trackable and insured courier service for orders in the UK and worldwide. Delivery time for European orders is 3-7 working days from date of dispatch. UK mainland next working day from date of dispatch, worldwide orders take from 4-10 working days.
DSV International Road - Non-trackable international road freight groupage service to European countries, typically 3 - 7 days transit time, depending on destination country.
Post – Small packages under 2kg may be dispatched by Royal Mail first class post to UK addresses.
We reserve the right to dispatch goods using any shipping method we see fit, regardless of which delivery service has been chosen by the customer.
Additional Charges: We reserve the right to levy additional shipping charges, at our discretion, for over-size packages and addresses that attract additional charges from our shippers. In all cases you will be contacted prior to shipping to obtain your consent for additional charges.
Service Upgrade: If you require Express or timed delivery by UPS an additional cost will be applied. Please contact us by phone or email if you would like to have the delivery of your order upgraded. It may not always be possible to dispatch it in time, and this will depend on when we receive your order. In these cases we will keep you informed about the progress of your order. We will provide you with a link to track your package online.
Shipping Fees: Shipping fees include handling and packing fees as well as shipping costs. Handling fees are fixed, whereas transport fees vary according to the total weight of the shipment. We advise you to group your items together in one order. We cannot combine two distinct orders placed separately, and shipping fees will apply to each of them.
Return of Goods
Cancellation: If for some reason you wish to return your goods please cancel in writing (via letter, fax or email) within fourteen working days of receipt of the goods. The customer will be required to cover the cost of return of the goods. Goods should be returned in saleable condition. Some items, such as cut lengths of fabric, will be subject to a re-stocking fee. Please contact us in advance of returning your goods for confirmation of any additional fees.
Faulty goods/damaged goods: Please inform us in full as soon as possible and within seven days of receipt of the goods to arrange return. The cost of the goods and carriage will be repaid in full once we have confirmed the goods are faulty or damaged.
Refunds will be made within 30 days and by the same method as payment.
In partnership with our secure payment Gateway supplier we follow the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). You credit card details will not be seen by anyone at Brodie & Middleton Ltd or our payment gateway. Any data provided is treated in compliance with the PCI DSS standard. Information given to us via other methods is always treated in the strictest of confidence. Your details will not be released to third parties.
