Exceptional product manufactured by Clearstar Coatings Corp and designed specifically for varnishing inkjet prints on canvas. This water-based lacquer will remain flexible and nonyellowing. It contains UV filters to protect the print from light damage, comes in three finishes and can be applied by brush, roller or spray. The 30° Satin finish is a very low gloss finish without the colour deadness associated with full mat lacquers. Clearshield Type C is for use on ‘water resistant’ type mat canvases printed with pigmented aqueous. For dye based inks use the AFA Aerosol or Printguard.

Sustainability, reducing the CO2 footprint and further improving and expanding the colour range were the main drivers. A new, innovative binder was chosen - largely made from recycled raw materials - that is free of microplastics. The pigmentation of the existing colours has been optimised and new colours have been added to the range. Thus, in addition to the existing cadmium colours, you can now choose cadmium-free alternatives that are almost identical in colour. And with the exception of 792 Ivory black, no animal ingredients are used. The consistency of the paint is still buttery - heavy body.
