Museum Series Claybord™ is made using 1/8" true artist hardboard and features Ampersand’s simply amazing kaolin clay ground formula similar in paintability to the clay gesso grounds used during the Renaissance. The surface is sanded to an ULTRA-smooth, highly absorbent finish so your paint colors remain true and brilliant. Work the surface by thinly applying paint or ink, then remove it, reapply it, even scratch through it to add contrast, texture and fine details. Claybord is a favorite of both fine and graphic artists. Only Ampersand builds their cradles by hand with premium grade 13-ply birch plywood for maximum stability and a clean, finished look from edge to edge. Dylon Pre-Dye removes colour from fabric so that it is suitable for dyeing to a lighter colour. Will treat all natural fabrics and nylon.
NOT suitable for wool or silk, polyester, acetate, acrylics or fabrics with special finishes.
Formulated for use in automatic front loading washing machines.
IMPORTANT – One box will treat up to 2.5kg of fabric – this is much more than a box of Machine Dye. If buying Machine Dyes as well, you only need one box of Pre-Dye for every 4 or 5 boxes of Machine Dye.

Rosco Flamex PA Flame Retardant Additive 237 ml

Flamex PA is a clear, un-pigmented additive for creating a flame retardant paint layer. Add one full jar of Flamex PA to a US gallon (3.79L) of water based paint to make your paint coating flame retardant. Flamex PA is compatible in most latex or vinyl acrylic paints but always test with your specific paint choice. Do not use Flamex PA with metallic paints as the metal pigments may react and tarnish or corrode. Flamex PA does NOT alter the flammability of the substrate being painted but only adds a retardant treatment that slows the spread of fire along the surface. Rosco Flamex PA has been pre-measured and should be added to a single US Gallon (3.78L) of paint. Once combined, the paint/Flamex mixture can be diluted as desired but the dry paint film must be no less than 4 mil in thickness. The effectiveness of a fire retardant barrier is dependent on both the fire retardant additive and the thickness of the coating. Flamex PA is not intended to be used in place of other flame retardant products. Where possible, always treat the substrate material using the appropriate flame retardant. Learn More -
