    Lascaux Studio Acrylic 250ml

    Starting at: £25.70

Lascaux Studio Original is an artists’ quality acrylic paint. This exceptional quality acrylic is highly versatile and suitable for all painting techniques. The paint is highly pigmented, lightfast, non-ageing and non-yellowing with very good coating flexibility and water-resistant when dry. The colour range is optimised to give the same working qualities for each colour. So all colours have the same viscosity, opacity and dry to the same semi-gloss sheen. This uniform covering power is ideal for effortless creation of monochrome surfaces. There is also minimal colour shift from wet to dry.

  2. Gamblin Ground

    Gamblin Ground

    Starting at: £26.40

    Out of stock

Gamblin Oil Painting Ground makes a strong, bright, non-absorbent foundation for oil paintings. Formulated from alkyd resin, titanium dioxide, and barium sulfate, Gamblin Ground makes canvas and linen stiffer than acrylic “gesso” and more flexible than traditional oil primers. Barium sulfate gives Gamblin Ground its tooth. Titanium dioxide gives Gamblin Ground its opacity. Because the percentage of pigments is so much higher than in acrylic “gesso”, painters need only apply TWO coats of Gamblin Ground instead of the recommended four coats of acrylic. More coats can be added for smoother painting surfaces. Because alkyd resin is used instead of linseed oil as the binder, Gamblin Ground is more flexible and dries more quickly than lead/linseed oil grounds. Lead/linseed oil grounds must dry for six months and Gamblin Ground is ready for paint application within a week. Learn More

An Ultra Violet Pigment is a fluorescent dye that has been dissolved in resin, and then ground to a fine pigment. When exposed to ultra violet light these pigments fluoresce intensely. All the colours are visible under normal light, and are fluorescent in UV light except for Invisible Blue. This milky semi-transparent colour is almost invisible in normal light but glows pale blue under UV. Learn More

  5. Rosco PA Flame retardant additive

Rosco Flamex PA Flame Retardant Additive 237 ml

    £20.50

    Out of stock

Flamex PA is a clear, un-pigmented additive for creating a flame retardant paint layer. Add one full jar of Flamex PA to a US gallon (3.79L) of water based paint to make your paint coating flame retardant. Flamex PA is compatible in most latex or vinyl acrylic paints but always test with your specific paint choice. Do not use Flamex PA with metallic paints as the metal pigments may react and tarnish or corrode. Flamex PA does NOT alter the flammability of the substrate being painted but only adds a retardant treatment that slows the spread of fire along the surface. Rosco Flamex PA has been pre-measured and should be added to a single US Gallon (3.78L) of paint. Once combined, the paint/Flamex mixture can be diluted as desired but the dry paint film must be no less than 4 mil in thickness. The effectiveness of a fire retardant barrier is dependent on both the fire retardant additive and the thickness of the coating. Flamex PA is not intended to be used in place of other flame retardant products. Where possible, always treat the substrate material using the appropriate flame retardant. Learn More
