UV Reactive Pigments 1 Kilo
Starting at: £37.50
PRODUCT An Ultra Violet Pigment is a fluorescent dye that has been dissolved in resin, and then ground to a fine pigment. When exposed to ultra violet light these pigments fluoresce intensely. All the colours are visible under normal light, and are fluorescent in UV light except for Invisible Blue. This milky semi-transparent colour is almost invisible in normal light but glows pale blue under UV. USE The product is used extensively in nightclubs for special effects under UV light. Best results can obtained by painting onto a bright white surface. This allows the light to reflect back through the paint and increases the colour intensity. These pigments are not light-fast and as such are not suitable for fine art applications. RECIPE UV Powder can be mixed with most water-based media to produce fluorescent paint. 500 ml glaze mix 100 grams UV powder METHOD Mix UV powder to a paste with glaze mix. Thin out with the above proportion of glaze mix. If using concentrated emulsion glaze dilute 2 parts water to 1 part glaze to give the correct mix. Learn More
